Clear crystal colour. The 2088 Swarovski XIRIUS has a 16 faceted cut face giving it more of a diamond appearance than the 2058 Xilion Rose and as such is named after Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. ss48 are 11.0mm in diameter and the largest standard flatback crystal size in production they are widely used for adding some sparkle to clothing and dance costumes especially Irish dance Costumes. They are a too large for crystallizing most footwear but can be used randomly incorporated into a crystal pattern, they are quite prominent so the crystal peak stands out approximately 4.5mm. Being so large in diameter they are a very easy size to work with, you can use a Crystal Katana, Jewel Setter or Precision application Tweezers to pick up the crystals although using tweezers increases the chance of getting adhesive on the faceted face of the crystals. ss48 crystals are a too heavy for use with the magic pick mini, the tool will pick up the crystals but the stickiness on the tool tip gets used up very quickly with this large a crystal. There are a number of useful tutorials on our blog that will show you how to crystallize various styles of footwear, how easy it is to pick up crystals with the various tools and which are the most suitable adhesives for fabrics or for plastics, rubber and other materials for project you are doing.
