Crystal Katana Rhinestone Applicator Tool by Crystal Ninja

The Crystal Katana is a Professional applicator tool for use with non hotfix flatback crystals it's developed by Award-winning designer Kelly DeFries of Crystal Ninja. It's Designed to work with the full range of flatback crystals from ss12 - ss40 with the main tool and ss9 to ss5 with the adapter tool, which can be easily inserted into the chrome positioner for working with the smaller crystal sizes. The tool itself comprises of a Bamboo sleeve, plastic chrome effect positioner one end and replaceable plastic insert the other which has a black coloured tip made from jewellery wax that can be remoulded with your fingers if it becomes misshapen (The heat from your fingers will melt the wax enough to reshape it). When using to pick up rhinestones, crystals or other small craft items don't press too firmly with the tip and don't use with glitter or mica powders as the tool isn't suitable for this purpose. If you work with jewellery clay and embellish the clay with Swarovski Chatons or other small items the tool is perfect for picking up and securing the stones into the clay.

To use with flatback crystals:

1. Lay out your crystals on a flat surface faceted face up.
2. Apply adhesive to the surface you intend to crystallize.
3. Touch the top of the crystals faceted face with the Katana wax tip to pick up the crystal.
4. Gently press the crystal down into the adhesive.
5. Use the reverse Chrome end to position the crystal and then when it's in place press down on the crystal to securely bond with the adhesive. (If you are using a size smaller than ss12 then unscrew the chrome effect end and insert the pink positioner into the chrome positioner and screw the end back on. This will allow you to position smaller crystals).
